Honoré Essoh

Honoré Essoh is a filmmaker and media producer with about fifteen years of experience in radio broadcasting, film, TV, and web journalism. He is known as the screenwriter of Côte d’Ivoire’s first two animated feature films. Honoré Essoh has also directed and written documentary films, short and feature narratives, TV series, corporate videos, and news reports. He is currently the managing director of Studio 6, a company he founded in 2014. He learned filmmaking in a Côte d’Ivoire television school and during workshops in Senegal, Tunisia, France and Egypt. At the end of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Honoré plans to create a film hub in Yopougon, a popular suburb of Abidjan where he lives and works. The hub will support young filmmakers and train out-of-school teenagers to keep them healthily busy and inculcate in them the taste for honest work. Stayed in Africa.
