Leke Ogunlewe

Leke Ogunlewe joined Standard Chartered Bank Group in 2012 as the CEO Standard Chartered Capital and Advisory Nigeria Limited and Managing Director / Head Corporate Finance.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank Group, Leke worked with United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) as Group Director, Energy & Structured Finance; Group Director, International Banking and Managing Director, UBA Capital. He was also a Member, Board of Directors, UBA – Cote D’Ivoire.

Leke Ogunlewe has acquired relevant experience in commercial and investment banking roles spanning; Operations, corporate finance, capital markets, loan syndications, treasury and international banking. He has delivered consistently strong performance over the years and helped grow the business significantly since he joined.

Leke has about 30 years experience covering Banking Operations, Corporate & Investment Banking, Energy Banking, Capital Markets, Project Finance as well as Financial Advisory Services. He has been involved in a number of private and public capital market issues, mergers & acquisitions and a number of Project Finance exercises for major corporate and energy transactions.

He holds a BSc. in Economics from the University of Ibadan and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Lagos. He is a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) and Honorary Member, Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.
