Toyin Olagoke
Toyin Olagoke joined the service of Ministry of Information & Strategy, Lagos State in 2016 With nearly two decades of working experience in telecoms, financial services, entertainment and broadcast services; he had initially worked with Nigerian Telecommunication Ltd. for five years as a senior telecom officer where he held and performed a lot of change management roles and functions, billing system management, projects implementation, products designs and general information technology services.
Toyin Olagoke worked with Glo Mobile known as Globacom Nigeria Limited – the second national carrier – as a senior system specialist where his roles range from infrastructure development, system optimization, billing operations, system and database backups in accordance to company’s policy, troubleshooting and accurately escalating fault to vendors (like HP and Microsoft) and also co-ordinate upgrade activities with the vendors thereby ensuring compliance with the existing jobs and work order procedures.
With Webbfontaine Consortium he handled ASYCUDA multi-millions projects for Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), CBN and Nigeria government providing e-government solutions that entails planning and implementation of financial solutions, telecommunications infrastructure, micro wave links connections to database and servers, applications designs and efficient operational procedures.
He worked with financial institutions and media houses anchoring the technical department or division of those sectors and delivered world-class facilities that made those companies to be highly successful.
Toyin Olagoke is a graduate of Computer Science with second class honors upper division from University of Ilorin Nigeria (B.Sc.); Master degree in Computer Science (M.Sc. Computer Science) from University of Lagos Nigeria and he as well obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ladoke Akintola University Of Technology Nigeria.
With his team, he has carried out a lot of transformational and innovative ideas in HiTV where he worked as the Group Head, Information Technology & Infrastrutures; deploying cutting-edge technology, state-of-earth equipment and world-class broadcast activities with foot print in Nigeria, UK and USA. He loves to be part of a leading broadcasting platform influencing culture and value with excellent programming. When he joined the Lagos Television, he worked as the Director – Technical Services, where he led a team of experienced engineers in providing cleaner and better pictures quality on the terestial, DTT and DTH platforms and was later assigned the responsiblity of being the Director Production Services. He is happily married and blessed with children.
