Omobosola Ojo
Omobosola Ojo obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the Ondo State University, (OSU) in the year, 1991. She also read law and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, between 1993 and 1995 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2000 after coming back to Nigeria to attend the Nigerian Law School for two years as a foreign student.
She started her working career in the Lagos State Ministry of Justice, Department of Public Prosecution, in Lagos, Nigeria and afterwards joined the law firm of O. Adekoya and Company, then with offices at Yaba, Lagos. She was an Associate in the firm with duties, among others including preparing briefs in respect of court cases, drafting agreements sand representing clients in courts.
She has attended several seminars and received trainings in banking matters and management in and outside Nigeria, some of which seminars or trainings include, Credit Analysis, Risk Management, Corporate Governance, Board Leadership, Leveraging Global Perspectives in Building, Sustainable Financial instituting and Financial Oversight, etc and also participated in the Corporate Governance Rating System, Fiduciary Awareness.
Omobosola Ojo is an Independent Director on the Board of Wema Bank PLC, a Partner in the law firm of Fola Akinrinsola, Ojo & Co, Lagos, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ikeja branch, a member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (CHMC) and an Honorary Senior Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB). She is married with two boys and a girl.
