NWANNA JOEL-EZEUGO
Nwanna Joel- Ezeugo joined Accion MfB in May 2009 as the Chief Operations Officer. She was once the Chief Risk, Control & Compliance Officer, supervised Marketing department, Product & Business Developments department, before heading the commercial department as the Chief Commercial & Business Development Officer. Nwanna is very passionate about customers as evidenced in her active participation in the Financial Institutions that she had worked in developing systems and processes that ensure that customers are efficiently served using cost effective methods.
She started her banking career at Fidelity Union Merchant Bank in April 1989 (now Fidelity Bank). Her banking experience spans Merchant, Commercial, Mortgage (Savings & Loans). As the Group Head of Finance and Strategic Planning in Akwa Savings and Loans Limited, Nwanna was part of the Management team that refocused the Bank and grew its asset base to an unimaginable profit level. Nwanna has attended various training programs locally and abroad including the prestigious Boulder School of Microfinance (Turin, Italy), Harvard Business School on Microfinance Strategic Leadership Program (Boston, USA), Accion International?s OTP Program (Bogota Colombia) as well as Lagos Business School Advanced Management Program (AMP26), LBS Strategic Leadership Course and Total Quality Management programs, Kindle banking System training (Dublin, Ireland) amongst several others. She is a graduate of Accountancy (B.Sc. Hons) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She has an MBA in Banking & Finance from ESUT Business School (2003) and a Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (Chartered); Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation and Chartered Institute of Pensions of Nigeria.
