Sizwe Stanley Mkhize
Sizwe Stanley Mkhize was appointed deputy director-general: food security and agrarian reform in 2012. He holds a certificate in Agricultural Mechanisation, BSc Agriculture majoring in Horticulture and BSc Honours in Agriculture from the University of Fort Hare.
He has a Master of Agriculture from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, United States and a PhD in Agriculture from the University of Pretoria, South Africa. He was the accounting officer for the Department of Agriculture, Environmental Affairs and Rural Development in KwaZulu-Natal before joining the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
Between 2006 and 2008 Sizwe Stanley Mkhize was acting deputy director-general for production and resources management at the Department of Agriculture. In 2008, he was appointed deputy director-general at the Department of Water Affairs. He also worked as a research assistant while enrolled for his PhD programme.
