Jenni Irish-Qhobosheane
Jenni Irish-Qhobosheane is the Deputy Director-General in the Civilian Secretariat of Police, a position she has held since September 2009.
Prior to joining government, Ms Irish-Qhobosheane was a programme manager for Business Against Crime South Africa (Bacsa) where she managed the shopping centre security initiative and business robberies initiative.
Her other positions before joining Bacsa included serving as a director of private research and facilitation firm Injobo Nebandla Consultants, national director at the Network of Independent Monitors, provincial manager at the KwaZulu-Natal Human Rights Committee office, and as the socio-political development officer for Diakonia Council of Churches.
Ms Irish- Qhobosheane is a published author and has written a number of books and articles on fields ranging from AIDS to crime and policing.
