Mbulelo Sogoni

Mbulelo Sogoni is responsible for rendering strategic leadership and coordination services to the Office of the Premier and to the Provincial Administration, and also serves as Secretary to the Executive Council. He exercises strategic leadership and oversight on the Office of the Premier, provincial government departments and public entities which support and advance the work of the Eastern Cape Provincial Government. As Head of the Eastern Cape Provincial Administration the Director- General ensures the implementation of the government’s policies, strategies and programmes.

As Head of the Office of the Premier he is responsible for ensuring efficient, effective and good corporate governance within and overall management of the Office of the Premier.

Mr Sogoni holds the following academic qualifications: Bachelor of Science, a higher diploma in education and Master’s in Public Administration. He has served in the Public Service in various capacities and also held a number of public offices within the Eastern Cape Provincial Government before assuming the position of Director-General in December 2010.
