Mashela George Mnguni

Mashela George Mnguni was appointed deputy director-general: Corporate Services in September 2010. He holds a BA degree from Vista University and Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Pretoria. Other qualifications include a diploma in Public Administration from the University of Zululand, a certificate in organisation and Work-Study from the then Northern Transvaal Technikon, a certificate in Public Management from the University of Pretoria and a certificate in Public Corporate Governance from the University of South Africa’s School of Business Leadership.

Mnguni’s leadership roles in the Department of Energy include serving as a director for special services, as director for human resource management and development, and in the chief directorate for management services. Mashela George Mnguni also served on the following committees: Presidential Review Commission, National Transformation Co-ordinating Committee, as departmental representative for the Governance and Administration Cluster, and as a member of the steering committee for a certificate course in Mineral Law Administration and Environmental Management.
