Dr. Winnie Iminza Nyamute

Winnie Iminza Nyamute holds a PhD in Business Administration (Finance), an MBA (Finance) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Member of Kenya Institute of Management, the Association of Women Accountants of Kenya and the Institute of Directors(IOD). Winnie is currently a lecturer (Finance and Accounting) at the University of Nairobi.

Winnie Iminza Nyamute has been serving on the Research and Education Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She is a past member of the ICPAK’s Audit Quality Assurance and the Special Interest Group Committees. She is a faculty advisor for the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) Research Challenge, University of Nairobi (UoN) as well as a board advisor for the Finance Students Association (FISA) of UoN. She has been the coordinator for partnerships and linkages for the School of Business (UoN) and a panel judge of the Excellency in Financial Reporting (FIRE) Awards Scheme. She is an independent director at the Nairobi Securities Exchange where she chairs the Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Committee.

Winnie is the chair of the audit, risk and corporate governance committee of the board.
