Aldrin Sivako
In his new role at BTC, Aldrin will deputise and support the Managing Director in developing a robust Strategy for the technical arm of BTC being the Information Technology Division, Technology Division as well as the Transformation Office to ensure that its technology is relevant and fit for purpose with the view to deliver shareholder value.
He will provide leadership and oversee the technical arm of the company, identify and forge strong relationships with strategic partners to strengthen the BTC value proposition as well as monitoring the effective management of CAPEX and OPEX in line with the company’s objectives. Aldrin has 19 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry, nine (9) of which were spent working within BTC.
He is highly experienced in Strategy formulation and implementation, Business Development, Product development, technology planning and design, fixed mobile convergence and project management. He has worked for numerous organisations within the telecommunications industry namely, Mascom Wireless, Botswana Telecommunications Corporation, Botswana Fibre Networks in various capacities and most recently Liquid Telecom as Chief Technical Officer.
He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Management College of Southern Africa (MANCOSA) and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Telecommunication Systems from Coventry University in the United Kingdom and is an Alumni of the University of Stellenbosch Business School, Executive Development Programme.
