Jonathan Raheem Hosseini
Jonathan Raheem Hosseini has joined the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) on 22 May 2017 as Chief Operations Officer. Jonathan’s core responsibility is to lead and provide strategic direction to the technical functional teams of Generation, Transmission and Distribution and Supply Chain and ensure appropriate technical standards and competence within the business.
He has a long record of delivering bottom line financial results in large complex organizations. He has served in the United States of America as Vice President of Operational Perfection and Vice President of Global Strategic Alliances for Southwire Company (southwire.com), a USD5 Billion operation with a staff complement of 5000 people, servicing the Power Utility industry. He has been engaged in analysis of the future of Energy Distribution, Independent Power Producer (IPP), and Distributed Energy Resources (DER) business models.
Most recently, Jonathan served as General Manager Transformation at the Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS), where he led the team that, “tilted” the BURS Strategy towards People and set in motion BURS’ long term Transformation Agenda.
Jonathan Raheem Hosseini, is a Motswana. He graduated with Highest Distinction with Bachelor of Science – Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, and WPI, Massachusetts, USA in 1989 and later earned a Masters in Business Administration at Goizueta School of Business at Emory University, Atlanta, USA.
