Nkem Odibeli

Nkem Odibeli is an accomplished accountant and finance professional with over 25 years’ post qualification experience across the financial services industry, covering Banking, Insurance, Pension Fund Administration, Real Estate and Private Finance sectors. Nkem Odibeli has a proven record of success in start-ups, turnarounds, growth management and investing. He has led and contributed to enhancing corporate profitability; building quality risk asset portfolios and clients base through the development and deployment of innovative strategic lending initiatives, products and delivery through alternative distribution channels in various capacities and organisations.

Prior to joining Continental Reinsurance on June 1, 2016, he was Vice President and Investment Officer at African Capital Alliance (ACA) Nigeria where he managed over $300 million portfolio of companies across telecommunications, information technology, electronic payments and insurance industries. Prior to joining ACA he worked as the Group CFO at Cornerstone Insurance Plc. He set up and was pioneer Managing Director/CEO of three companies: First Guarantee Pension (Pension Fund Administrators), Structured Capital Company Limited and Royal Prudential Life Assurance Ltd. He later became the Group Executive Director (Finance & Investments) in Royal Exchange Group with responsibility for all subsidiaries.

Mr. Odibeli has extensive foreign and local training backed by relevant local and international qualifications in Banking, Finance, Accounting and Investment Management. He holds B.Sc. (Finance) and M.Se. (Marketing) degrees both from the University of Lagos Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FClB), Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), U.K. and is also a Certified Project Finance Specialist of the American Association of Financial Management (AAFM).
