Mrs Connie Mutunhu
Mrs Connie Mutunhu, an Ex- Partner of Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe, served as an Executive Director of a bank until taking early retirement in April 2013. Mrs Connie Mutunhu is currently running her own firm in Tax & Business Advisory Services. She sits on several boards and is currently chairs two boards: Childline Zimbabwe and Almin Industries Limited. She has served on a Regional Board in South Africa as well as an International Board in the United Kingdom.
Connie Mutunhu started her career in the then Tax Department where she worked for almost 17 years rising through the ranks to be Chief Training Officer of the Investigations Unit. She spent a year on attachment with the Australian Tax Office, Brisbane. She left the Department in 1997 to join Ernst & Young as a Tax Consultant. She rose through the ranks to be admitted into partnership as Partner responsible for Direct Taxation and International Tax Services. She was at Ernst & Young for 10 years when she left to join Metbank Limited as one of the Executive Directors initially in charge of Human Resources & Administration as well as Corporate Finance and later on reassigned to start up a Mortgages Department.
Connie Mutunhu has a Business studies background with Post Graduate diplomas in Taxation from Zimbabwe & Australia. She also has Master’s Degree in Change Management & Leadership (Leeds, UK). She is a Registered Tax Accountant in Zimbabwe.
