Kebonye Mercy Motseosi
Kebonye Motseosi is a Medical Doctor by profession under the Ministry of Health and Wellness at Princess Marina Hospital. She works in public health education in her community and has over five years’ experience in health promotion. While studying for her medical degree, she worked part-time as a health promotion assistant, advocating healthy living through medical screenings as well as organizing blood donation campaigns and encouraging regular HIV testing. She is a member of a group called Life Uncensored that engages communities in dialogue about issues in relation to HIV/AIDS. She also volunteers her time at organizations that aim to bring healthcare to remote communities. Kebonye holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Botswana and an International Postgraduate Pediatric Certificate from The Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and The Sydney Medical School, University of Sydney. Upon return from the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she aims to broaden her scope of public health education awareness to include non-communicable diseases with a special focus on pediatric oncology.
