Nigel George Payne

Qualifications: MBL, BCom (Hons), CA, Higher Diploma in Accounting
Committee Responsibilities: Chairperson of the group risk and audit committee and member of the group capital oversight committee.

Mr Payne is a corporate governance adviser and non-executive director of various boards of companies. He is also an active fundraiser for various charities. He has held board, board committee and executive management positions at several listed and non-listed companies and organisations. These include Bidvest Group Limited, Bidvest Bank Limited, Mr Price Group Limited, JSE Limited, Bidcorp Limited, Vukile Property Fund Limited, SA SME Fund, PPS Insurance Company Limited, Strate Limited, Glenrand MIB and BSi Steel Group Limited. He is a certified internal auditor and certified fraud examiner. Mr Payne is also an honorary life fellow of the Institute of Directors in Southern Africa and was named South African Internal Auditor of the Year in 2000.
