David Majambere

David Majambere has over four years’ experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. He is currently head of the National Network Control Centre at Burundi Electricity and Water Utility where his main responsibility is to supervise the production-consumption balance in all its aspects. David Majambere holds a Bachelor degree with a major in Electrical Engineering and his main goal is to help people get easier access to energy by promoting and exploring the potential application capabilities of renewable energy in order to increase energy availability in the most cost-effective and environmentally beneficial ways, especially for rural areas. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship, David plans to use his acquired training to help his organization overcome energy inefficiency by developing the best practices needed to overcome barriers to renewable energy development. He will work towards solving the energy deficit issue that Burundi is facing. Stayed in Africa.
