Bertrand Betseto Bobeto

Bertrand Betseto Bobeto has a strong interest in communication and culture and is committed to the preservation of the Dowayo culture and its mother tongue, Doyaayo. This commitment moved him to be the Communication Secretary of the Ajesdo, an association for the promotion of the Dowayo culture, for the past three years. He was also appointed Editor-in-Chief of the communication committee of his local church, where he led a team of over 25 reporters.Bertrand Betseto Bobeto created The Faro Cafe, a club where students can learn through knowledge-sharing based on African values such as solidarity and mutual aid in Cameroon.In its third year of existence, more than 100 people attended the Faro Cafe’s sessions. Bertrand holds a degree in Public Law and Political Science. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he plans to contribute to the creation of an Android application for people to learn Doyaayo as well as lead a social network via this app. In addition, he plans to set up literacy days in order to teach Doyaayo.
