Ayouba Iliassa

Ayouba Iliassa has over six years of experience working as a nurse in the Comorian government health system in rural areas. Currently, he is the national malaria control program supervisor in his community and founder of the first healthcare association on his island to provide support and education about diabetes and high blood pressure to those without access to affordable healthcare. Iliassa is also the national vice president of the Insular Peace Building Networking Office where Ayouba Iliassa is a trainer in social mediation, conflict management, social cohesion, and networking. Iliassa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing Care from the University of Comoros’ Public Health School. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he plans to use the skills he has gained to advocate for change in the broader Comorian health system. Stayed in Africa.
