Ama Kouao
Ama Kouao has over two years of experience working in the Ivorian Public Administration. Her first position was with the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform, where she assisted in development of strategies to control the public administration’s payroll. In 2014, Ama Kouao transferred to the Cabinet of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, where she serves as the Assistant to the Cabinet Head and specializes in statistics and economic issues. She takes part of the Ministry’s actions for addressing concerns and problems related to the Ivoirian higher education system and working to improve the employability of young graduates. Ama received a degree in Engineering Statistics and Economics. Upon completion of the Washington Fellowship(Africa), she plans to improve the quality of her job with the Ivorian Public Administration by applying all of the new skills she has attained into practice.Ama was one of 100 Fellows competitively selected to participate in an 8-week internship in the United States following the Mandela Washington Fellowship academic institute. She interned at Montgomery County, OH in August-September 2014.
