Patrick Lisakaman Lembo

Patrick Lisakaman Lembo has over four years’ experience in the humanitarian and development sector in the DRC. He is currently a senior program assistant for the National Democratic Institute, where he is working on a democracy and governance program looking at the mainstreaming of women and youth within Congolese political parties. Deeply motivated to see marginalized groups empowered, he frequently speaks at activities organized by local community organizations. He also keeps busy with development projects with his Rotary club, of which he the youngest member and president-elect for the 2016-2017 term. Patrick Lisakaman Lembo holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports Development and Coaching from the University of Lincoln in the UK, and a diploma in Community Development from the Kenya Institute of Development Studies, where he was particularly interested in leadership issues. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship(Africa), he plans to pursue his work of empowering marginalized groups within his community.
