Miguel Angel Engonga Ela Akaba
Miguel Angel Engonga Ela Akaba has over two years’ experience as an electrical engineer in the oil and gas industry. Currently, Miguel is working at EG-LNG Operations S.A., where he focuses on the electrical safety and reliability of the LNG plant. He is the founder and leader of the Una Escuela Para Angosok project, an initiative that is building a school in the village of Angosok. Miguel Angel Engonga Ela Akaba is also an active member of the Asociacion Hijos de Nzee Abuy. Miguel holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in Malaysia. He is driven by the desire to see a generation of Angosokans develop into well-educated adults. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship(Africa), Miguel and his colleagues will continue organizing educational seminars in Angosok, helping future generations of Equatorial Guineans embrace and value education.
