Kalkidan Tesfaye Woldeselassie

Kalkidan Tesfaye Woldeselassie has eight years of experience in leadership, volunteerism, and community development, specifically in child education. Kalkidan is a founder and manager of Love Never Fails, a nonprofit organization in the southern region of Ethiopia, which helps children who are in need and empowers their parents and caregivers. The organization’s slogan is, ‘I help one child learn.’ Kalkidan Tesfaye Woldeselassie holds a medical degree from Mekelle University Kalkidan currently works as a pediatric antiretroviral therapy department chair, general practitioner, and lecturer at St. Paul Millennium Medical College. Previously, she was the medical director of a hospital in the southern region of Ethiopia. She also volunteers for medical campaigns throughout the country. Kalkidan was the leader of the Ethiopia Evangelical Christian Medical Students Mekelle Fellowship and a member of the youth ministry leadership board and her local church. She is driven by her commitment to ensure that every child is healthy and in school and strongly believes that education can fight poverty. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she plans to continue her work and make sure children receive sustainable healthcare and education.
