Kofi Amponsah Duodu
Kofi Amponsah Duodu is a Naval Lieutenant in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). He has served in various capacities in GAF, including Watch-Keeping Officer, Acting Executive Officer (Ghana Navy Fleet) and Instructor at the Ghana Military Academy. As an instructor, he was responsible for imbibing the ethos of command, courage, discipline, respect, integrity, loyalty and responsible leadership into cadets. Kofi is currently the Assistant Naval Secretary for the Ghana Navy. He is in charge of special projects and assists in policy planning and implementation. Kofi Amponsah Duodu runs a Mentorship Academy, as a personal project, which seeks to promote etiquette and responsible leadership in the youth, through personal development and creation of a network of like-minded people who uphold the values of integrity, respect, discipline, determination and entrepreneurial creativity. Kofi is a graduate of the Ghana Military Academy, Britannia Royal Naval College (UK) and Maritime Warfare School of HMS Collingwood (UK). He holds a BSc Geomatics Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology (Ghana) and MSc Security, Conflict and International Development from Leicester University (UK).Upon completion of the Fellowship, he intends to bridge the gap between academia and operations in the maritime domain by influencing policy on Maritime Security Sector Reform.
