Luana Edla Cardoso Pereira

Luana Edla Cardoso Pereira has over nine years’ experience in community development. Currently, Luana is a communication assistant for Tiniguena, an NGO working on sustainable community development and environmental protection in Guinea-Bissau. Luana Edla Cardoso Pereira also volunteers with a citizenship and environmental protection youth association. Luana holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertisement from the University of Istanbul. She believes that creative and socially conscious youth, such as herself, have an important role to play in her country’s development. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship(Africa), Luana plans to build an eco-friendly media company, which will employ dynamic young Bissau-Guineans.
