Ilsa de Fatima Ca e Sa
Ilsa de Fatima Ca e Sa is 27 year old, young, and active African woman who graduated in International Relations, and with a Msc in International Cooperation and Development, from the Universidade Técnica de Lisboa. She has been working as project assistant for almost two years at Tiniguena, a Bissau-Guinean NGO with name meaning ‘this is our land’. In the general elections of 2014 in Guinea Bissau, she participated actively as a member of the Civil Society Group for Elections (GOSCE) getting actively involved in citizen monitoring of the electoral process towards a more transparent democracy. Ilsa de Fatima Ca e Sa coordinates the Youth and Citizenship Program that supports the development of the activities of Tiniguena Young Generation (GNT), a youth association that aims to increase levels of civic participation, and works to empower young people and engage actively in gender issues in her community.
