Fouzia Abdikadir Dahir

Fouzia Abdikadir Dahir has over nine years of experience in social and community development. Her work focuses on providing alternatives to economic livelihood and the rights of women and children in her community. She is the founder and Executive Director of Northern Organization Of Social Empowerment. Fouzia Abdikadir Dahir is currently working on programs that will transform her community from nomadic lifestyle to agro-pastrolism. She is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. After completing the Washington Fellowship, she seeks to use the knowledge and networks gained to advance her community development programs to lead hopefully transform her community from a nomadic dependency culture to a more diversified culture. Fouzia was one of 100 Fellows competitively selected to participate in an 8-week internship in the United States following the Mandela Washington Fellowship academic institute. She interned at Bread for the World in August-September 2014. Stayed in Kanya.
