Caren Chepkemoi Langat has over nine years of experience in healthcare practice as a nurse, focusing on sexual and reproductive health. Currently, Caren is a nurse manager for the Directorate of Reproductive Health where she provides oversight on evidence-based practices and initiatives, strategic planning, policy formulation, implementation, healthcare advocacy, ethical practice and capacity development for improving maternal and neonatal health. Caren Chepkemoi Langat holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Moi University, where she specialized in Maternal and Neonatal Health. Caren is driven by her commitment to reducing maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Caren plans to continue her work in maternal and neonatal health to realize the Beyond Zero maternal and neonatal mortality Sustainable Development Goals. She will do this through advocacy for universal health coverage, ensuring sexual and reproductive health rights are enjoyed by all. Stayed in Kenya.
