Gilbert Otieno Nyandeje

Gilbert Nyandeje has over three years’ experience in public policy formulation and advocacy. Currently, Gilbert is the executive director and founder of Espoir Center, a Kenyan think tank, where he focuses on public youth policy formulation, advocacy, and training on entrepreneurship across Kenyan universities. Gilbert has skills in cyber-security management and helps organizations across East Africa ensure sound development of cyber-security policies and frameworks. Gilbert Otieno Nyandeje also speaks fluent French and English, with basic proficiency in both Spanish and Arabic. Gilbert holds a master’s degree in Financial Management and Accounting from the National School of Management, Morocco, and other professional Information Technology certifications. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Gilbert plans to continue his work in public youth policy formulation, advocacy, and entrepreneurship training, with a major focus on creating opportunities for the youth.
