Winnie Anyango Singwa
Winnie Anyango Singwa holds a diploma in Social Work from Kisumu Polytechnic and certificates in Psychological Counseling and HIV Testing and Counseling from the Institute of Psychological Counseling and the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, respectively. Winnie has a passion for vulnerable and needy children in her community with a special focus on the girl child. She has served as the Head of the Dignity Program at Hope Alive Initiative, an NGO, with her program focusing on mobilizing and distributing sanitary towels to needy girls in the rural parts of Nyanza region. Winnie Anyango Singwa served in this capacity for about a year. She consequently founded her own organization called Wing It Up ‘ Kenya, a project focusing on empowering vulnerable and needy girls through provision of sanitary towels, feeding, and personal development programs. She’s the Operations Director and is in charge of carrying out feasibility tests on prospective places to open new centers, sourcing for funds, forging new partnerships, and basic day-to-day management of the organization. She plans to implement the management and leadership skills she will learn during her fellowship to her organization once she returns to Kenya.
