Although she has worked for a variety of patrons, there has been a strong passion for developing women in business. Xoliswa served as the National Chairperson for the South African Women Enterprise Network. (SAWEN), an initiative of the Department of Trade and Industry. She was very much instrumental in the formation of Women Empowerment institutions by national departments and worked closely with the Department of Trade and Investment on BEE issues. As the Chairperson of the NHBRC she started a women empowerment programme for the social transformation committee.

Where they train and mentor 100 women in property and construction through GIBBS to ensure that opportunities are availed to them. During women’s month in 2017,she has been selected as the keynote speaker for a number of events to represent woman voices through various media channels and speaking engagements.

Since the early days in the legal fraternity she led the establishment of centres for rape victims, leading to the development of institutional framework and governance structures for women based initiative such women in transport etc. Her passion for women empowerment continues at the moment with the women’s build programme working with the department of human settlement in identifying destitute women and assisting in building houses through alternative technology. As the CEO and Founder of Daku Group of Companies, she has started the Daku Group Academy which was launched in 2017. Whereby she mentors 20 women in business, in partnership with MANCOSA and Radisson Blu Sandton. The 12-­‐month academy officially starts in February 2018.
