Maphano Doris Mohapi

Maphano Mohapi has four years of experience in the beauty industry. Maphano is currently a the Manager and Owner of Phano Ea Bophelo Beauty and Rehab Spa where she works as a nail technician, makeup artist, leader, administrator, and supervisor. Maphano holds a degree in Social Work obtained at the National University of Lesotho, where she learned about advocating for vulnerable peoples. Her drive comes from being a disabled women and fighting through African societal norms and discrimination against disabled persons. One day, Maphano hopes to ensure that people with her type of disability can be able to exercise their human rights. After completion of the Mandela Washington fellowship, Maphano will expand her business into the rehab sector, where she will be able to help people with physical disabilities and be able to advocate for disabled people in Lesotho.
