Faith Wangui Chege

Faith Chege is the CFO at Barefoot Power Africa, a renewable energy, social-for-profit enterprise. She oversees the financial operations of the Kenyan and Ghanaian subsidiary companies, and manages renewable energy projects targeting the rural electrification of over 600,000 tea-farmer households across Kenya. Faith Wangui Chege holds a BSC degree in International Business Administration, Finance from the United States International University in Africa as well as certification in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. As a Mandela Washington Fellow, Faith intends to strengthen her business model and financial strategy skills through shared best practices with other fellows. Upon her return to Kenya, she plans to use the knowledge and connections acquired to address the issue of the financial sustainability of renewable energy projects of her company, and Africa. She also intends to build the capacity of youth entrepreneurs to usher their businesses to financial sustainability.
