Davies Ezra Chogawana
Davies Chogawana has over nine years’ experience in the field of environmental and natural resource management. Currently, Davies is working for the government of Malawi, as a district environmental officer for the Salima District Council. His work focuses on the coordination of climate change management interventions, facilitating environmental impact assessment processes, provision of oversight on waste management, facilitating preparation, and implementation of community environmental and natural resources projects. Davies has vast experience in the development of environmental and social safeguards for development projects. He is currently representing Malawi at the Southern African Development Cooperation (SADC) climate change sub–committee. He is part of the team that is developing measuring, reporting, and verification systems for SADC. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Davies plans to continue his work as a public servant in environmental and climate change management with a focus on integrated water resource management.
