Chisomo Grace Kaufulu
Chisomo is human rights advocate and a socio-legal research consultant. She is passionate about social justice and protecting the rights of those most vulnerable; primarily women, children and people with disabilities. She trained as a lawyer with her undergraduate degree obtained from the University of Malawi as well as a Masters of Law degree in Human Rights and Democratization in Africa obtained from the University of Pretoria. Chisomo heads the southern region office of the Malawi Human Rights Commission as a Regional Human Rights Coordinator. Following the successful completion of the YALI fellowship, Chisomo wants to continue working towards enhancing access to justice for vulnerable groups, especially in rural and secluded areas.
