Temwanani Karen Phiri
Temwanani Karen Phiri has over six years’ experience in the legal services industry and is currently an Associate at Armstrongs Attorneys. She specializes in general corporate law and civil litigation. Karen is also a Trustee of the Molaya Kgosi Trust. This non-profit organization promotes inter-generational dialogue on women’s career advancement and leadership and creates mentorship and networking opportunities for women. She is Coordinator of Molaya Kgosi Women’s Leadership and Mentorship program in Botswana. Karen holds an LLM in International Finance and Banking Law from the University of Liverpool and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Botswana. Karen is committed to advancing the economic empowerment of women and achieving sustainability goals to eradicate poverty. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Karen plans to advocate for policy reforms to advance the rights of women, particularly to promote full employment and equal participation in the workplace.
