Pritee Auckloo

Pritee Auckloo has 15 years of experience in the education sector in Mauritius and is deeply involved in formal and non-formal education projects in the African region. Pritee Auckloo is an ardent believer in human potential and believes in leadership through actions. She has served as the President of the Lions Club of Ebene, where her voluntary work continues to aim at empowering people for development and emancipation. Currently, Pritee is a senior lecturer at the Mauritius Institute of Education, where she trains teachers and education stakeholders in pedagogy and education for development-related areas. Pritee is also a student for a Doctorate of Education degree from the University of Brighton, UK, where her areas of research included teacher education, open educational practices, and school community link projects. Upon completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Pritee intends to create a synergy in relation to education for empowerment and development, focusing mainly on the power of non-formal or community-based learning.
