Simao Elias Luis

Simao Elias Luis has more than six years of experience in the field of education and project management in Manica province. Simao is currently serving as an English teacher and head of the department in which he organises and delivers continuous professional development and core reflection of teachers, sets the timetable, and teaches classes. As a volunteer, Simao establishes the cash flow of activities, provides technical assistance and training to the members of the project and creates partnerships with other agencies. Simao holds a master’s degree in Educational Sciences from the Free University of Brussels (VUB), where he focused on research, policy and practice of education for women, and the use of technologies in learning. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Simao plans to design and implement efficient intervention programs for children orphaned by Aids, empower women through education and rights, and offer early childhood education at the community level.
