Stefanie Romi Blossom Garises
Stefanie Garises has one year of experience in computer science. Currently, Stefanie is a machine learning and information communication technology tech intern at FABlab Namibia, where they focus on prototyping and business development. They also provide training courses for disadvantaged youth, such as LEGO Mindstorm building and programming. They have also created a pitch platform for start-up funding. Stefanie is in her final semester of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a major in Software Development. Stefanie Romi Blossom Garises is committed to improving the lives of Namibians. Stefanie chose the field of computer science because it is volatile enough to maintain the curious nature of her personality. She is interested in business and entrepreneurship as a way to accomplish her goal of empowering other entrepreneurs. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she plans to work as a data analyst and gain experience in data science. She also plans to pursue a master’s degree in Data Science and Business Analytics in the future to further solidify her understanding of the field. Stefanie’s long-term goal is to start a business that supports small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups by empowering them with their own data, ensuring their survival and growth.
