Rotimi Babatunde Abina has over nine years of experience in human capital development, business, entrepreneurship and NGO management. Rotimi Babatunde Abina holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and professional certifications in Sustainability Leadership and Business and Entrepreneurship from the prestigious Rutgers University, New Jersey, United States of America. He has worked on several projects of the UNDP, IFC and AfDB among others, with international experience and exposure in the United States of America, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Gambia, Uganda, Namibia, Ghana and South Africa. Rotimi is passionate about building human capital through business and entrepreneurship for economic growth and development of Nigeria and Africa at large by leveraging agriculture. He is driven by the potential agriculture holds in ridding Africa of extreme poverty and penury. In commitment to this passion, Rotimi founded ABROT Integrated Agribusiness Solutions Limited, an organization that works on rice and cassava value chains through an out-grower scheme. His vision is to replicate the agribusiness initiative in every state in Nigeria with the aims of combating poverty in rural areas, creating employment opportunities for the vulnerable, fostering global food, and securing and reducing food wastage to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). His professional experience covers management, strategic development, research & analysis, supply chain, sustainability leadership, training & development, and agribusiness initiative & investment.
