Chinweoke Busola Abuwa

Chinweoke Busola Abuwa has over four years of experience in the Petroleum Industry, with a specific focus on Energy Policy development and implementation. Currently, she is an Economist with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources where she focuses on Energy Policy Evaluation and works with the Senior Technical Adviser to the Minister on Petroleum Fiscal Policy. She is responsible for drafting fiscal legislation for the Petroleum Industry for consideration by the National Assembly. Her work covers the following areas: petroleum economics, energy accessibility, energy infrastructure, the economics of energy regulation and energy security options for Nigeria. Chinweoke Busola Abuwa also runs a mentorship program for girls between the ages 18-25. Chinweoke holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Port Harcourt, a Masters in International Business from Hult International Business School and is currently working on an MSc in Energy Economics from the University of Port Harcourt. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Chinweoke intends to continue her work on the economics of sustainable energy systems to lead to improvements in energy availability, accessibility, and affordability for all Nigerians.
