Olorunfunmi Adebajo
Olorunfunmi Adebajo has six years of experience in youth and social development. She is the founder of Jade Academy, a youth-development organization aimed at bridging the gap between formal and informal education. Olorunfunmi Adebajo also recently founded Kindle Africa, where she focuses on initiating, developing, and executing strategies of poverty eradication in urban slums by improving access to formal/informal education for women and children. She has skills in storytelling, educational planning, volunteer management, strategy development, and team formation. She also has experience in events management, communications and media relations, and report writing. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, she plans to continue her work of improving socioeconomic conditions of urban slum settlers. Funmi holds a BSc in Computer Mathematics, and a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Planning from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, where she focused on improved educational outcomes for public secondary schools.
