Maryse Dadina Nkoua Ngavouka

Maryse Dadina Nkoua Ngavouka has over five years’ experience as a Researcher in the field of Nanotechnology and Nanosciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology and Nanosciences from the University of Trieste, Italy, and is currently working as a Lecturer in Physics at the University Marien Ngouabi, Faculty of Sciences and Techniques, Congo. Maryse serves in a local public research institute (Institut National de Recherche en Sciences Exactes et Naturelles), where she has a laboratory in development. The laboratory is working on malaria protein from a theoretical and experimental point of view. Maryse Dadina Nkoua Ngavouka is passionate about deeply-rooted social issues such as gender discrimination, girls’ discrimination and lack of public engagement in sciences. She organizes seminars and lab visitation days for high school students. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship program, Maryse plans to use the knowledge and skills gained from the program to contribute an improvement in public management and empowerment and education of young women.
