Virgile Rivet Samba-Moussinga

Virgile Rivet Samba-Moussinga has over eight years’ experience practicing law. He is currently a county court judge in Dolisie and has been leading a NGO named Club DIH Plus for the past two years to promote international humanitarian law, human rights, and peaceful means of disputes resolution. Virgile graduated from the Law School of the Free University of Congo(Africa) with a Master’s degree in Law and from the National High School of Administration and Judicature. He was a prize-winner at the fourth regional speaking moot court competition on international humanitarian law, organized by the International Committee of Red Cross in 2011. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Virgile Rivet Samba-Moussinga plans to set up a local and regional research center for peace and international law, under his organization, which will provide a young generation of peace-makers from several backgrounds with training programs on law, public management, business entrepreneurship, and civic leadership.
