Ibrahim Balami

Ibrahim Balami, a young engineer and entrepreneur has gained over 14 years’ business experience since he started out aged 18. Ibrahim is the managing director and chief executive officer of Ibba 36 Global Concept, a company incorporated in March 2013, which specializes in wheat milling for the production of wheat grit and semolina, with an emphasis on bridging the nutritional gap of diabetic patients within his community of North Eastern Nigeria. Ibrahim Balami has employed over 60 youths in the cause of doing his business, with special attention to the vulnerable youth that can easily be used as agents of violence if left idle. Ibrahim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maiduguri. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, he plans to empower at least 100 youths yearly for four years with skills on small business startups and management.
