Glory Chinenye Oguegbu

Glory is a dynamic motivator with over two years’ experience working with the rural and urban poor to reduce hunger and poverty with a major focus on women and vulnerable children. She is the founder and chief executive officer of Glow Initiative, for the Alleviation of Abject Poverty (GIFAAP), an NGO seeking to alleviate the lowest form of hunger and poverty through investment, skills-acquisition, financial empowerment, and micro-finance. Glory facilitates counselling sessions on positive-thinking and business sustainability, organizes skills-acquisition sessions, and partners with organizations to provide financial support for startups. She holds a B.Sc. in Geography and Planning, is a certified Business Consultant, HSE Advisor (CIEH, UK), and PMP (PMI, USA), and has empowered over 300 poor persons in Nigeria. Glory intends to use further skills acquired through the Fellowship to make a difference in the NGO sector in Nigeria, by implementing sustainable poverty alleviation projects.
