Kevin Kariuki

Kevin Kariuki is a power engineer with over 28 year post-qualification experience.  He is passionate about the development of privately financed infrastructure and has since November 2002 led the Industrial Promotion Services (IPS), for whom he is the Head of Infrastructure, in the development of privately financed infrastructure worth about US$2 billion.  Kevin doubles as the power global lead for IPS’s parent, the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development.

Formerly the Chief Power Engineer/Consumer Affairs Manager for Kenya’s Electricity Regulatory Board, Kevin Kariuki also previously served as the Chairman of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, a state corporation responsible for regulating the aviation industry, and providing air navigation services, in Kenya.
