Arinze Chukwunanu Ekwem

Arinze is a pharmacist with over six years’ experience in the pharmaceutical sector, including relationship management, strengthening supply chain systems, and market shaping with Astra Zeneca. He has been an active provider of specialized pharmaceutical care services at primary, secondary and tertiary levels of health care. As a medical representative, he won the Astra Zeneca Rookie of the Year 2012 prize for Best Young Staff, in recognition of excellent performance in 2012. He is a Chevening Alumnus and holds a master’s degree in Operations, Project and Supply Chain Management with a distinction from the Manchester Business School in the UK. On completing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Arinze plans to further his work on improving access to medication in Africa through his consultancy – Echelon Health Management Services and has plans in action to apply for seed funding for a 50-ton plant in Nigeria for producing asthma spacer devices for children.
