Joseph Uchenna Ibeh
Joseph Uchenna Ibeh is a software developer with over three years’ experience in the eduTech and social enterprise sectors. Currently, Joseph works as software design lead for the Youth for Technology Foundation, an international nonprofit organization, where he focuses on the intersection of education and technology, using emerging technologies to create an interactive learning experience. Joseph Uchenna Ibeh is a volunteer for the Save the Deaf and Endangered Languages Initiative (S-DELI), a nonprofit research organization working to harmonize and document Nigerian Sign Language. Joseph is a UNESCO trained advocate on media and information literacy and intercultural dialogue. As such, he is passionate about using emerging technologies to create a positive socioeconomic impact in the Nigerian deaf community and communities that are technologically underserved. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and International Studies from Imo State University. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Joseph hopes to develop technology solutions for the education and social enterprise sectors in Africa. He also hopes to increase his efforts in documenting the Nigerian Sign Language and deaf advocacy.
