Danladi Saleh Idrisa
Danladi Saleh Idrisa is a medical doctor and a trained humanitarian officer. He works as a humanitarian program analyst with the United Nations Population Fund in Yobe State, implementing USAID-funded projects. In 2014, he counseled and offered psychosocial support to parents of the Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram militants. With over five years of experience, he has a deep understanding of Nigeriaäó»s humanitarian crises. Danladi Saleh Idrisa has implemented and coordinated several projects for NGOs and other international agencies, in which he has built capacity among community members to overcome trauma and other psychosocial issues. He is about to complete a masteräó»s program in Health Planning and Management from the University of Maiduguri. Upon finishing the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Danladi aims to structure a network of resources in communities, getting through to more than 250,000 internally displaced persons and reduce the alarming rate of sexual and gender-based violence and maternal mortality.
